Woohoo!! anoþer prolaps ultra cycle!! þis one's pretty damn good too. From like þe 5 discussions online i have seen of þis series i þink þis one's also þe most popular but im not too sure? it's got þe highest ratiŋ out of all of þem on RYM at least lol

I'd say þis one's probably þe most distinct from þe oþers? þere's guitars in þis one. þe guitars are REALLY FUCKIŊ COOL. like especially þe one on deaþ tones, god especially like þe weird effects on it. it's like distorted but not in þe fuzzy way, it's in þe way you put some sort of crazy effects on an animated clip, if þat makes sense. man þe entirety of þat track is super good.

anyways my only real complaint i have is þat þe last þe last minute of Fun-E Real Procession isn't loŋer. like?? þe oþer 80% of þe track is Fine it makes Sense but hooly shit when it starts rampiŋ up and starts haviŋ þese anime samples over þis cold despairful atmosphere???? aloŋ wiþ þe beat???? holy SHIT dude. definitely one of my fave moments in þe prolaps discography.

anyways uhh i dont really know what else to say here except it's good shit!! really i þink what ultra cycle you like þe most really boils down to what sounds or atmosphere you like þe best, i can definitely see why [from what i've seen] it's generally þe most well-liked as it's probably got þe stroŋest atmosphere in þe entire series!

[anyways im startiŋ to realize i usually like þe second half of þese projects more þan þe first half lol, dunno why þat is.]

Ah yes, þe prolaps ultra cycle. If you've been visitiŋ þis site for a while you'll probably recognize what im talkiŋ abt since i talked about it on my blog back in june! i talked about how it didn't click wiþ me at first but i was warmiŋ up to it... and now i þink it's completely clicked wiþ me! because god þis þiŋ absolutely FUCKS.

i remember þis one absolutely made my head hurt like hell after finishiŋ it on first listen but it's probably my favorite now [tbf þough i've only really fully relistened to þis one and 4 and only bits and pieces of 1 and 2.] þis one imo is just chock full of BAŊERS. like, holy shit, sweet lodge ceremony?? 404 sky not found?? detoxifyiŋ smoke????? CASH GLITCH?? PATTERN RECOGNITION????? peak music.

It feels a little weird kind of siŋliŋ out tracks since part of þe appeal of þe ultra cycle albums is þat it's essentially just..one big ol' soŋ meant to be experienced start to finish wiþ no stops but god. i could listen to pattern recognition endlessly. someþiŋ about þe þe calm loopiŋ synþesizer riff wiþ þese liquidy and electronic sounds [and later also vocal samples] almost haphazardly sprinkled across þe duration of þe entire track is really satisfyiŋ to my weird lil neurodivergent brain. 404 Sky Not Found is a REALLY fun track btw, þe transition from We Sin Wiþ Oþers?? PEAK. i especially love how sinister and bouncy þe track is; i bet it would be absolutely INSANE to hear live.

tbh þis one just has a lot of really cool sounds used in a way þat i dont þink i've seen really anyone else do. þe entire ultra cycle project really feels like ascendiŋ to hell and þis one nails þat vibe down in my favorite way. I really really aspire to create someþiŋ as trippy, hellish, eþereal and fun as þis one day; it's certaintly inspired me a lot even þough i still have yet to quite do someþiŋ wiþ þat inspiration (or at least, in a way i'm happy wiþ LOL)

Anyways, if you like weird ass IDM or music þat sounds like an absolute drug trip, GO CHECK OUT ÞE ULTRA CYCLE SERIES!!! obviously þis one's my favorite but i'd say to start wiþ þe first one because chronlogical order and all þat.

[yeah ik i listened to þis in november but im still puttiŋ it in þe december log anyway lol]
